(FEB NEWS) FEB UNAIR once again contributed achievements at the opening of 2023. On Sunday (22/01/2023) evening, the East Java Province National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) Ambassador Grand Final event was held which was held at the Surabaya Islamic Center Building. Siti Alfia Ayu Rohmayanti, who is currently registered as a Student of the MSM FEB UNAIR Study Program (Class 57), was selected as the East Java Baznas Intelligence Ambassador.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Baznas RI Colonel (Ret.) Nur Chamdani, Chairman of Baznas East Java Drs. KH. Roziqi, Deputy Head I Prof. Ali Maschan Moesha, Deputy Deputy II Drs. KH. Ahsanul Haq, Deputy Deputy III Dr. KH. Muhammad Zakki and Waka IV Dr. KH. Husnul Khuluq and all East Java Baznas staff. Also present were Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elistianto Dardak and his wife, Head of the East Java Communications and Information Service Hudiyono and invited guest participants.
Alfia was one of 30 participants who passed the Grand Final round out of a total of 148 participants who then underwent a series of quarantine at the Berkizaar Hotel Surabaya. From Alfia's narrative, during quarantine she received a lot of knowledge about the science of Zakat Infaq Sodaqoh (ZIS) which is driven by several Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) such as the Amil Zakat Infaq Sedekah Muhammadiyah Institute (LAZISMU) and the Amil Zakat Infaq Alms Nadhatul Ulama Institute (LAZISNU). Plus, the role of academics is also very important in encouraging this development so that during quarantine there are additional materials and campus visits at Universitas Airlangga , specifically at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
The East Java Baznas Ambassador was held with the hope that it will be a form of collaboration between the East Java Baznas and youth who are able to become inspirations and drivers of zakat promotion. As is known, the potential for zakat in East Java in 2022 is estimated to reach IDR 487 billion and will continue to increase in 2023.
After the election of the East Java Baznas Ambassador Of course, a youth association will be formed with educational and promotional programs regarding ZIS in the form of more creative and innovative promotional innovations according to the current era of digitalization.
