ceo teaching series 1CEO TEACHING SERIES, Strategic Management Course, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), invited Co - Founder and CEO of Nusatics - Sharlini Eriza Putri, ST., M.Sc., DIC., the lecture was held from the Fadjar Hall Notonagoro, 2nd Floor FEB UNAIR, (30/11/2022).

Starting her lecture, Sharlini Eriza Putri, showed 3 pictures of how a rabbit has to go through a maze to get the carrot at the end/opposite of the maze:
1. The rabbit walks straight (making a diagonal) through the maze building.
2. The rabbit walks along the edge of the building that surrounds the maze, to get to the carrot, and
3. The rabbit walks windingly along each stage of the door in the maze, even though it takes a long time, to get to the carrot that is placed at the end of the maze.

Of the three images, the way the rabbit walks towards the carrot, Sharlini invites students to think, "which of the three images is considered strategic?" according to them.

After the students stated their choices and stated their reasons, Sharlini also explained that in strategy, all choices depend (on certain situations and conditions). Sharlini continued that the biggest challenge for every manager/leader is resource allocation. ceo teaching series 2

Strategy for Sharlini is an art, where to achieve success, a leader must be able to see clearly the battlefield/difficulties/challenges that must and will be faced. Once everything is clear, then look at the resource allocation, how fast is the time needed, what resources do you have in the form of cash?, and how much talent do you have?

In reality, according to Sharlini continued, the biggest failure that occurs in strategic management is in fundamentals (failure to see what the battlefield is like). This is due to "wrong thought patterns from the start, where our brains are often influenced by the PPP Virus ( Personalized; Pervasive; and Permanent)”.

To eliminate this virus, based on his experience while managing a business, is to build habits, where the brain must always be conscious (when making decisions). Every time a PPP attack comes, it is very necessary to keep thinking about what to do/keep innovating/keep looking for solutions and so on, so that you can become a strategic and effective leader.
