(FEB NEWS) In the context of Kedaireka Matching Fund activities, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga Surabaya (Unair) held financial planning training aimed at students and alumni of Rumah Gemilang Indonesia (RGI), people with disabilities and female fishermen. This financial planning is one of the trainings in a series of cooperative and financial literacy training activities for the Kedaireka Matching Fund program which is chaired by Mrs. Shochrul Rohmatul Ajija from the Department of Economics. 

In this training, participants are taught how to manage and plan finances well. Mrs. Shochrul Rohmatul Ajija said that it is hoped that this financial planning training will provide provisions so that they can manage their finances well, so that their financial condition remains stable. 

"Skills in financial management are one of the keys to success for entrepreneurs or new employees in increasing their income," he explained.

Apart from RGI students and alumni, this financial planning training is also aimed at people with disabilities and female fishermen who are members of cooperatives. Several cooperative members who take part in this activity both online and offline include the Indonesian Disability Cooperative, 64 Bahari Surabaya Cooperative, Sumekar Pasar Minggu Cooperative, and Sumenep Pasar Minggu Cooperative. Apart from cooperative members, there were several participants from Unair students and the general public. Financial planning training for cooperative members was held in the Mindrowo Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga , Wednesday (21/9/2022).

This training was completed by four resource persons. The first resource person was KH. Drs, M. Asyhad., M.Ag., AWP. The material presented by the first speaker was about financial planning which must be based on monotheism. The resource person emphasized that financial planning must be based on monotheism.

“Financial planning must be based on monotheism. "As Muslims, we must know where our wealth comes from and what we spend it on," he explained to the training participants, Wednesday (21/9/2022).

Material from KH. Drs, M. Asyhad., M.Ag., AWP. then continued by the second resource person, namely Dr. Bambang Tutuko, CFP., IFP., AWP. who delivers material related to planning practices for cooperative members. In the second meter, it is explained how to write down financial income and expenses, obligations that must be paid by every Muslim (alms/zakat), and so on.

The third material was delivered by Ustadz Ahmad Dahlan Malik, B.Acc., M.Ec., CFP., CRA., AWP. who delivered information regarding Maqasid Al Shariah and financial planning for cooperative members. The delivery of the material was continued by Ahmad Hudaifah, SE, M.Ec. The material presented by Mr. Ahmad Hudaifah was related to financial planning for millennials. He emphasized the importance of financial planning for millennials.

"Millennials also have to carry out financial planning, this is very necessary because it affects the future of millennials," he explained to the training participants, Wednesday (21/9/2022).

At the end of the event, participants were given a quiz submitted via the Kahoot game. Participants are required to answer several questions asked within the specified time. As a result, six people won the quiz, namely Mr. Hajar, Mr. Wahyu Setiawan, Mr. Har Mulia, Mr. Walid, Mrs. Jihan, and Mrs. Afifa. A series of financial planning activities for cooperative members closed with prayer reading and photos with resource persons, committee members and participants.

Through financial planning training for cooperative members, participants are expected to become more aware of how to manage and plan finances well. Participants are also expected to be able to implement their knowledge in cooperative activities, so that cooperatives can continue to develop.
