(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) has once again made an achievement in qualifying for funding for the student creativity program organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. Referring to letter 2489/E2/KM.05.01/2022 on 26 May 2022, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Dikti) has announced funding for the Student Creativity Program (PKM), one of which includes the PKM FEB UNAIR team.

Four FEB UNAIR students who successfully passed funding for the Student Creativity-Social Humanities Research Program (PKM-RSH) with Supervisor Rumayya Batubara, SE, M.Reg. Dev., Ph.D. including: 1.) Difa Inggrayuwana (2019 Management), 2.) Sinta Fanidatus Solichah (2020 Management), 3.) Berliani Rosin (2019 Management), and 4.) Intan Sukma Cahyani (2019 Management). This time the PKM FEB UNAIR team led by Berliani Rosin raised the research title "Destination Branding in Local Wisdom Style: Efforts to Realize Sustainable Tourism Development in Majapahit Village, Bejijong Village"

Berliani said "the urgency of research related to destination branding is expected to have an impact on local wisdom in the community and refer to sustainable tourism development efforts in Majapahit Village, Bejijong Village." 

"This research seeks to explore the factors behind the problem, analyze the potential of local wisdom based on the triple bottom line concept, analyze the gap in perspective between the village government, community and visitors, and can provide recommendations that can be implemented for stakeholders," continued Sinta.

"We are very grateful and happy to be included in the 15 teams that passed the 2022 PKM funding proposal from Universitas Airlangga , considering the tight competition between teams within the University and with universities throughout Indonesia." said Difa.

"We hope that this student creativity program can contribute to building the nation by generating various innovative ideas or new knowledge that can be implemented and used as evaluation material for both the government and society." Intan concluded.
