(FEB NEWS) Wednesday, 6 April 2022 - Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a Sharing Session with Professors. Mukhammad Najib - Educational and Cultural Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia in Canberra Australia, moderated by Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto, SE., MSi., - Head of the Management Department, FEB UNAIR, regarding the Potential for Collaboration between FEB UNAIR and Universities in Australia.
Present at the event, Dean of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia., SE>, MSi., Ak., CMA., CA. accompanied by the 2 Deputy Deans (Deputy Dean I - Dr. Wisnu Wibowo; and Deputy Dean III - Dr. Ahmad Rizki Sridadi), along with FEB UNAIR Management (Department of Management; Economics; Accounting; and Sharia Economics) as well as the International Office FEB UNAIR.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., CA. expressed his gratitude and hopes to be able to obtain an overview, in order to further develop and increase collaboration between FEB UNAIR and institutions in Australia.
Prof. Mukhammad Najib, agreed with the moderator's statement, that to enter the world rankings, of course FEB UNAIR must collaborate with foreign campuses, especially from Australia. "Opportunities for collaboration and study in Australia are actually very open, relations between Indonesia and Australia are getting closer day by day. Both need each other, and opportunities for cooperation are increasingly open, with the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) being agreed between the 2 (two) countries, where Mr President Jokowi hopes that the Indonesian State can increase capacity building in particular in cooperation in the field of education. Thus, for opportunities to strengthen Indonesia-Australia cooperation in terms of education, there is already a stronger umbrella and commitment from both parties, explained Prof. Muhammad Najib.
On this occasion, Prof. Mukhammad Najib, also conveyed scholarship opportunities, both for lecturers and students; cooperation scheme for students, so that they can carry out appropriate internship activities, initial models of cooperation that FEB UNAIR can start to implement, from people to people contact such as: Joint Research, Join publication, Guest Lecture; then from institution to institution or from government to government, along with steps to carry out cooperation initiation activities.
At the end of the session, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia., SE., MSi. Ak., CMA., CA, expressed his hope that in this extraordinary meeting, what was conveyed by Prof. Mukhammad Najib, all Departments at FEB UNAIR can immediately follow up on various opportunities that can be done to increase the internationalization of FEB UNAIR.
