The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) is currently activating the "Let's Save Stocks" campaign which makes the activity of buying shares an alternative to saving at the bank. In the midst of public awareness activities about these shares, Master of Management students at FEB Universitas Airlangga made a different breakthrough. It turns out that shares can be used as an option for donating. Especially if the shares are intended for long-term investment activities, the recipient of the shares can utilize funds from the dividends distributed. This is at least what was revealed from the "Let's Donate Shares" Seminar, this idea was discussed as interesting material with speakers from both practitioners and academics who are experts in the field of stock transactions. Wednesday 26 November in the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, several speakers such as Dr Leo Herlambang (as practitioner), Dr Wisudanto (as representative of the Center for Social Fund Management, Universitas Airlangga ), Dewi Sriana SE, MM. (Head of the East Java BEI Representative Office), and Adhe Citra (Head of Area 2 PT Indo Premier Sekuritas), among others, said that the seminar initiated was an innovative proposal that must be followed up.
On this occasion, not just giving discourse, MM class 50A students started by giving a share donation/endowment to the Social Fund Management Center Universitas Airlangga (Puspas) amounting to IDR 20 million.
Kudos to the innovative ideas of the students.
