UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) continues to make achievements. This time, the Moscow International University Ranking agency "The Three University Missions" (MOSIUR) released information that UNAIR succeeded in occupying the 1301-1400 position as the best campus in the world or the fourth best in Indonesia.

According to Dian Ekowati, Ph.D., as head of UNAIR's Planning and Development Agency (BPP), MOSIUR itself is a ranking agency that carries out filtration and qualifications at all universities in the world independently. This filtration is carried out objectively based on the university's achievements in the IREG Inventory of National Rankings , publications, and several criteria related to other educational programs.

“This is the second time UNAIR has been listed on the radar of the MOSIUR ranking agency. "Previously, in 2020 UNAIR was in the fifth best position in Indonesia," he said to UNAIR NEWS (11/9).

3 Assessment Criteria

In conducting the ranking, MOSIUR assesses the quality of universities based on the three traditional missions of universities, namely education, research and community service. Regarding these three aspects, Dian – as she is called – said that UNAIR was quite comprehensive in the field of education. The reason is, UNAIR has various fields of science to improve the quality of education, numbering no less than 174 study programs. Most of the study programs offered, continued Dian, are accredited with an A grade.

Apart from that, Dian also explained that from other ranking data, such as QS WUR, the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of UNAIR students was in a good index, namely 8.96. This shows that one lecturer is responsible for the education and teaching of 9 students, so that the quality of knowledge conveyed to students is quite good.

"Furthermore, excellence in the educational aspect also supports UNAIR in the quality of two other aspects, namely research and community service," he added.

In the future, Dian said that efforts to improve the University's performance will always be carried out non-stop in various aspects and ensure that as an educational institution, UNAIR can have an impact locally, nationally and globally.
