(FEB News) Bayu A. Fianto, PhD, is a lecturer at the Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga , Indonesia and Chair of the SDGs Center at Universitas Airlangga present as Guest Speaker at the 2021 NCHU Sustainability Workshop, on Friday, 20 August 2021 .
This workshop, which is supported by the Higher Education Sprout Project in 2021, National Chung Hsing University - Taiwan, was held by investigating how organizations, both companies and non-profit organizations, can contribute towards a more sustainable society. As we know, over the last decade it has become clear that governments alone cannot achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Next, students will understand the goals and reasons behind the concept of "sustainability", so that students will gain a broad understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). At the end of the session, students are given the opportunity to develop a sustainable business plan that upholds the SDG goals.
