Every year Universitas Airlangga holds a prestigious competition for the title of Outstanding Student (Mawapres) as a form of appreciation for students who have achievements in various fields, both academic, non-academic and also scientific. The Mawapres election takes place at department, faculty and university levels to find Mawapres candidates who will represent Universitas Airlangga at the national and international levels.
In realizing an increase in the quality of student intellectual output, the Faculty of Economics and Business is determined to send mawapres candidates of superior quality. To make this happen, efforts are needed to encourage a climate of achievement among students through several methods, including through outreach and training. Therefore, the 2017 Science Department of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga is trying to increase understanding of the Student Achievement Program (MAWAPRES) through instilling an achievement mindset, providing training and motivation to students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in School of Mawapres activities.
School of Mawapres is a forum for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . With the existence of the School of Mawapres, it is hoped that the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga can produce students who excel and are able to bring good name Universitas Airlangga . The School of Mawapres was held over two days. The School of Mawapres contains a lot of material which is expected to be useful for FEB students who will prepare themselves to advance to become mawapres. The material in the School of Mawapres is KTI, Public Speaking, personality, community service, motivation to convince students to take part in mawapres and will continue with the formation of a discussion forum towards mawapres.
The event was held on Saturday-Sunday 6-7 May 2017 in the ABC Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga .
The aim of holding this activity for students is to provide information and knowledge needed for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga related to the MAWAPRES competition, to provide motivation to students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga to excel and contribute in the academic, non-academic fields and soft skill development and Providing training provisions for students who wish to take part in the 2017 Outstanding Student Selection Selection at the Faculty level.
