Wednesday, January 8 2020, the 2020 – 2025 Universitas Airlangga Rector Candidate Selection Socialization was carried out, which was the third day of the socialization agenda which took place in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga after previously being held at Campus C, R. 301 Kahuripan Building Fl. .3 and Campus A, Amec Hall Building, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Sc., Psychologist, as Chair of the Chancellor Candidate Selection Committee (PSCR) opened the event with enthusiasm, he hopes that with this socialization many candidates will register to become Chancellor Candidates.

Regarding the candidate for chancellor, there was an interesting question during the question and answer session asked by Moderator Muhammad Miftahussurur, dr, M.Kes., Sp. PD., while waiting for questions from the audience.
"Mr. Iman, if you wait until January 30 2020, there will be less than 3 candidates?"
Carefully and loudly, Iman Prihandono, SH., MH., LL.M., Ph.D answered, "Wow, how pessimistic? So, you can't do that. We have to be optimistic, right? If that happens, of course the solution is to extend the registration time. However, it is difficult to imagine that the large Universitas Airlangga , Top 171 in Asia, 5 in Indonesia, 651 in the World, cannot attract 3 prospective rectors to register. Once again, that is hard to imagine for Unair.” he said
