The Bachelor of Management program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, was established in 1954 and is designed to equip students with the ability to identify business opportunities, formulate strategic solutions, manage resources efficiently, and mitigate risk based on management theory and application. The program is currently preparing for AACSB international accreditation, reflecting its ongoing commitment to strengthening academic quality and global competitiveness. Students may choose a study specialization aligned with their interests, including Marketing, Financial, Human Resource, and Operations and Supply Chain Management, as well as Entrepreneurship. Graduates are prepared to build competent, impactful careers as Management Analysts, First-Line Managers, or Entrepreneurs.
- Students are able to apply core theories, concepts, and frameworks of business and management to analyse and explain a defined organisational or business problem, drawing logically consistent conclusions relevant to the global context.
- Students are able to analyse the ethical dimensions of a business or managerial decision using a relevant normative framework, and formulate a justified judgment that accounts for stakeholder welfare, sustainability, and professional integrity.
- Students are able to design and execute an appropriate analytical approach (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed) to investigate a defined business or organisational problem, producing results with critical awareness of methodological limitations.
- Students are able to interpret analytical findings within a relevant management or policy framework and articulate evidence-based recommendations with clear professional and societal implications.
- Students are able to communicate business analysis effectively in both written and oral formats which producing well-structured professional documents that present analysis with clarity, precision, and appropriate evidence, and delivering oral presentations that are logically structured, scholarly in register, and responsive to questions and critique.
- Students are able to demonstrate collaborative leadership in a team-based business project by setting direction, coordinating contributions, and facilitating inclusive and ethically grounded decision-making.
