The Doctor of Management program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, was established in 2011 and trains students to solve contemporary managerial problems and development of management science through a foundation in philosophy of management science and advanced research methodology. The program is currently preparing for AACSB international accreditation, reflecting a commitment to strengthening academic quality and international competitiveness. Students may choose a study specialization in Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, or Strategic Management and Business Excellence. Graduates are prepared to become management researchers capable of producing original research, publishing scholarly work in reputable journals, and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of management theory and practice nationally and globally.
- Students are able to design and conduct rigorous and original research with a global perspective using appropriate methodologies to produce new scientific contributions.
- Students are able to critically evaluate and adjudicate ethical dilemmas in research and management decision-making by upholding research integrity standards, and and produce research that has an impact on society and the development of management science.
- Students are able to integrate management theory and knowledge, sustainability principles, and rigorous scientific analytical approaches.
- Students are able to communicate original research findings to academic and professional audiences through publication of articles in reputable international journals.
- Students are able to demonstrate independent research by contributing to research and scholarly initiatives that advance management knowledge and practice.
