Dissertation - Closed

The Dissertation - Closed (Stage I Exam) course is designed to assess the dissertation writing process based on the scientific writing principles outlined in the Dissertation Writing Guidebook. This process continues the design of the Dissertation Proposal by adding several stages, namely: data collection and processing, data analysis and discussion, and conclusions and contributions of research results. The objectives of this course are: (1) determining the topic, issues and research gaps, state of the art and research novelty, problem formulation, research objectives and scope, and research benefits; (2) evaluating the accuracy, relevance, and contribution of research results to the field of management science; (3) providing space for constructive input that students can use in refining the dissertation before the open exam. In addition, it also aims to assess: (a) the relevance of research results to the development of management science, (b) Contribution of research results to the development of management science, (c) findings of concepts, methods and novelty as well as research originality; (d) students' analytical skills and scientific thought processes, (e) breadth of scientific insight, and (f) the ability to respond to objections scientifically.
