Overview

The Dissertation - Proposal course in the Doctoral Program in Management Science is aimed at determining students' abilities in designing their dissertation research. This course discusses the process of designing a dissertation research plan (proposal) based on scientific writing principles as outlined in the FEB UNAIR Dissertation Writing Guidebook. This process includes: (1) determining the topic, issues and research gaps, problem formulation, objectives and scope of the research, and the benefits of the research; (2) a literature review consisting of a review of theoretical frameworks and previous studies to produce a conceptual framework; (3) developing hypotheses or relationships between research variables; (4) research methods including research types, data and methodology, and relevant analysis methods; and (5) a management dissertation proposal examination.
