Abstract

Human resources are an important company asset, because humans are dynamic resources and are always needed in the process of producing goods and services. The occurrence of turnover is something that the company does not want. Employee turnover is a classic problem that entrepreneurs have faced since the industrial revolution era. Poor working conditions, wages that are too low, working hours exceeding the limit and the absence of social security are the main causes of turnover. The high turnover of employees in the marketing department at Bank X causes the need to evaluate various factors that influence turnover intention. There are two variables that influence turnover intention, namely person job fit and job satisfaction. The aim of this research is to explain the influence of person job fit on job satisfaction and turnover intention as well as the influence of job satisfaction on turnover intention. This research is causal research that explains the causal relationship between the variables studied. The population in this study was 70 marketing employees at Bank X, and the research sample was set at 60 samples. Based on outlier testing, 5 employees were identified with deviant answers so that further analysis involved 55 research respondents. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings in this study show that person job fit is proven to have an effect on job satisfaction but is not proven to have an effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction has been proven to influence turnover intention, so that how high an employee's job satisfaction is determines how high or low the employee's intention to leave the job is.
