Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of motivational factors on the performance of production employees at PT. Tonasa Cement in Pangkep, South Sulawesi. These motivation factors include physiological needs, work safety and security needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. This research is to see whether or not there is a significant influence of motivational factors and which of these motivational factors has the dominant influence on the performance of employees in the production department of PT. Tonasa Cement. The sample for this research was 75 people consisting of 40 organic employees and 35 daily workers. For measurement, multiple regression analysis was used with a significance level of (a) 5% and to determine the difference in performance between organic employees and daily employees, a t-test was used with a significance level (oc) of 5%. The results of the research show that simultaneously motivational factors including physiological needs, work safety and security needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs have a significant influence on organic employee performance, while for daily energy the factors that have a significant influence include the need for physiological, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. From the different tests carried out, it can be seen that there is no difference in performance between organic employees and daily workers. This is influenced by the production process which is dominated by machines.
