Abstract

Economic development in Indonesia is an important part of national development with the main aim of increasing welfare or increasing people's income. An increase in people's income can be created through increasing aggregate production and employment opportunities. Increases in aggregate production and employment opportunities can be achieved through company growth. The growth and development of a company depends on human resources, therefore human resource management is very necessary. This research aims to determine the effect of human resource management which includes selection, training and development, compensation, integration and maintenance on the work performance of PT employees. Mertex Indonesia Mojokerto, to find out which human resource management variables have a dominant influence and to find out whether there are differences in work performance between male and female employees. The population in this study were 1104 permanent operational employees. The sampling method used the Stratified Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 170 people consisting of 60 female employees and 110 male employees. The research variables consist of human resource management variables which include selection variables (XJ), training and development (X2), compensation (X), integration (X), and maintenance (X,) as well as employee work performance (Y). The analytical model used is multiple linear regression and the difference between two means test (oji t). Multiple linear regression is used to determine the effect of human resource management which includes selection, training and development, compensation, integration and maintenance on work performance with a significance level set at (a) 5%, and to determine differences in work performance between male and female employees. women used the t test with a significance level of (a) 5%. . The research results show that simultaneously managing human resources includes selection, training and development, compensation. integration and maintenance have a significant effect on employee work performance with the contribution of all variables to variation in performance of 47.6%, namely R2 = 0.476. Partially, the variables that have a dominant influence on variations in achievement are all compensation variables. This is indicated by the value ? the highest is 0.224 with the lowest probability being 0.004. Based on the results of the difference between two means test (t test), it shows that there is a difference between the performance of male and female employees as indicated by the tcount value being smaller than ttaho!l (-0.758 < 1.98). And it is hoped that the results of this research can be used as material for consideration by companies in managing human resources and researchers suggest that it should continue to be implemented and improved, companies need to evaluate the amount of compensation, need to plan better training and for future researchers they need to increase the number of variables.
