Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there are differences between various motivational factors in creating the quality of work life and also to find out whether work restructuring and innovative reward systems are the motivational factors that have the biggest difference in creating the quality of work life. The statistical method used to test the hypothesis is the chi-square test. The conclusion that can be drawn in this research shows that the significant difference between motivational factors in creating the quality of work life is because the company has not included employees in problem solving along with work restructuring and improving the work environment. Other differences also show that the implementation of work restructuring has not been balanced with the implementation of innovative reward systems for employees. On the other hand, employees also have not felt the benefits of the work restructuring carried out by the company. The biggest difference between work restructuring and an innovative reward system among the motivational factors studied in creating quality of work life shows that the adjustment of rewards has not been felt by employees in line with the work restructuring carried out by the company. In this study, the recommendation that researchers can give in relation to the differences between these motivational factors is that companies should start involving employees in solving problems related to restructuring implemented by the company. There is a significant difference between participation factors in problem solving and factors improving the work environment, so companies should involve employees in implementing work environment improvements. Companies must focus more on the issue of innovative reward systems in relation to the work restructuring carried out. One thing that companies can do is adjust rewards for employees. Companies should improve the existing work environment in line with the work restructuring carried out by the company. Job rotation for employees is a good idea to avoid boredom and loss of interest in the work of the employees themselves.
