Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of family firms and corporate governance on environmental strengths and environmental concerns in implementing corporate social responsibility. This research uses ROA, leverage, and Tobins q as control variables. The sample in this research is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2012 to 2016 in accordance with predetermined criteria. This research method is a purposive sampling technique that uses multiple regression analysis and logistic regression. This research concludes that family companies care more about the implementation of environmental strength and environmental protection compared to non-family companies, because family companies maintain the family name or company reputation. The function of corporate governance is to control and monitor companies to implement corporate social responsibility.
