Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership and Cultural Understanding on Job Performance in Mulyorejo District, Surabaya, where there is a role of Public Service Motivation as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. This research used primary data from employees who had direct contact with the community in their duties and obtained 60 employees who met the requirements as samples. Data were collected using questionnaire techniques and processed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis tool with SmartPLS 2.0 software. The research results show that transformational leadership has a significant effect on Job Performance. transformational leadership has a significant effect on Public Service Motivation. Cultural Understanding has a significant effect on Public Service Motivation. Cultural Understanding has a significant effect on Job Performance. Public Service Motivation has a significant effect on Job Performance. Public Service Motivation mediates the influence of transformational leadership and Cultural Understanding on Job Performance
