Abstract
This research explains the influence of market competition on investment. The research object in this research uses manufacturing companies in 2007-2014. The results of this research indicate that market competition can have a positive effect on investment. Market competition in this research is measured using the HHI value. The results of this research show that HHI has a negative effect on investment. This shows that high market competition will increase investment. The relationship between the HHI value and market competition is inversely proportional. This research found that market competition is strongly influenced by environmental conditions or market form which can be seen from the deviation values ​​per sub-sector.
