Abstract
Investment for employee development in the banking industry is currently very high. Unfortunately, this high investment value is accompanied by a high employee turnover rate as well. As experienced by PT. This research focuses on testing training effectiveness and organizational prestige as antecedents of employee career development opportunities and later, through organizational commitment mechanisms, it can minimize employees' desire to move from the company. In this study, 172 respondents were used, obtained from distributing questionnaires via email using the census method by examining the entire population of 205 relationship officers with permanent employee status. The research results show that the antecedents of career growth opportunities, (1) training effectiveness can influence career growth opportunities, while (2) organizational prestige cannot influence career growth opportunities. Career growth opportunities have been proven to influence organizational commitment. Organizational commitment is able to fully mediate the influence of career growth opportunities on employee turnover intention. Organizational prestige has been proven to have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment directly without going through career growth opportunities.
