Abstract
Innovative employees can provide benefits to organizations to gain competitive advantage. When an innovative employee faces a problem at work, he will try to solve the problem by coming up with new ideas, then he will try to get support from other people to make these ideas a reality so that these ideas can be implemented at work. If there is an unbalanced relationship between demands and resources, employees will experience emotional tension which will enable them not to perform well because their physical and cognitive abilities will be reduced, which will affect innovative work behavior. This research aims to determine the influence of job demands and job resources on innovative work behavior of PT employees. Telkomsel with work engagement as a mediating variable. This research used a sample of 89 employees. Data were collected using questionnaire techniques and processed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis tool with SmartPLS 2.0 software. The research results show that job demands and job resources have a significant effect on employees' innovative work behavior. Job demands negatively affect work engagement. Job resources have a significant positive effect on work engagement. Work engagement mediates the influence of job demands and job resources on innovative work behavior.
