Abstract

Dynamic changes in the business environment require organizations to always adapt to these changes. For this reason, an organization must be more progressive, able to integrate internally by carrying out continuous improvements as well as being innovative.
Underpinning an organization's competitive advantage is its excellence in learning, which is the process that underlies and gives rise to change. Thus, an organization must be developed in such a way that it becomes a learning organization.
This research aims to examine the learning behavior of the Quality Control Group (GKM). To achieve this goal, a comparison is made between the learning behavior of work units that are GKM and the learning behavior of work units that are not GKM. GKM is considered a small group that continuously carries out a learning process within an organization. This study of GKM-GKM learning behavior is based on the conditions of Organizational Learning Behavior which are explained into five dimensions, namely: Openness, Shared Vision, Creativity, Working in groups and Systems Thinking.
From the two research cases it can be concluded that there are differences in behavior learning between work units that are GKM and those that are not GKM. However, these differences can only be explained by the Openness dimension and the Working in groups dimension. The dimension of working in groups is the most dominant differentiating variable, because it is proven to exist as a differentiating variable for learning behavior.
