Abstract

This research aims to prove whether bank stability can mediate the influence of good corporate governance on company performance. The number of samples taken in this research was 178 company years (firm-years) from banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2013-2017 period. The data source is secondary data sourced from annual reports obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and each sample company. Analysis of the research data used in this study used path analysis with the help of the SPSS version 24 program. The results of this research show that bank stability can partially mediate the influence of good corporate governance on company performance. The higher the implementation of good corporate governance, the greater the stability of the bank, which will then have an impact on improving company performance.
