Abstract

Current dynamic business changes will have an impact on organizations both internally and externally, so every company must be aware of the fact that the company's existence also depends on competitive human resources so that they are not left out by competitors. In order for a company to survive in this business competition, it requires accuracy in making good decisions, and identifying problems correctly which is obtained through information from employees at lower levels about what the company has experienced directly, where this information arises through awareness, both directly and indirectly, from employees. This means that companies must find ways to obtain this information, for example by providing clear career growth to employees. The purpose of this research is to see the influence of career growth on employee voice behavior and affective organizational commitment as an intervening variable. The variables in this study were measured by a survey of 58 respondents at PT. Peabuhan Indonesia III (PT. Pelindo III) Tanjung Perak branch with Partial Least Square (PLS) statistical tools. The research results show that career growth has a significant positive relationship with employee voice behavior, and affective organizational commitment does not have a significant relationship with employee voice behavior. Based on these results, affective organizational commitment is not proven to be an intervening career growth variable on employee voice behavior. Based on these results, it is hoped that it can become input for company management to manage employee initiatives in conveying their ideas and opinions in order to achieve the expected results.
