Abstract

PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) is a company whose main business is providing letter and package delivery services which has been established for 268 years. In this research the author conducted an analysis of the effect of compensation on performance with motivation as an intervention for the Head of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Offices throughout UPT Regional VII East Java. The research method used in this research is a survey method, information is collected from respondents using a questionnaire. The statistical test used in this research is path analysis using research tools, namely SPSS. The results obtained in this research are that partially there is a significant influence between the independent variables of financial and non-financial compensation on the dependent variable of the Head of Office's performance. However, the influence of the independent variables financial and non-financial compensation does not have a significant effect on the dependent variable performance after including the mediating variable, namely motivation. So it can be concluded that the motivation of the head of office absolutely mediates the relationship between financial compensation and non-financial compensation on performance.

Keywords: Financial compensation, non-financial compensation, motivation, performance
