Abstract

In the healthcare industry, supply chain activities related to pharmaceutical products (drugs and health supplies) are critical in ensuring a high standard of care for patients and providing an adequate supply of medicines for pharmacies. The aim of this research is to describe the process flow of internal requests and distribution of pharmaceutical preparations (drugs and health supplies) involving the Surabaya City Health Office, Pharmacy Unit, Health Pharmacy Warehouse (GFK), and Community Health Centers along with the obstacles and obstacles therein, as well as formulating a proposed flow processes that can reduce these barriers and constraints. This research method refers to cross sectional design using a descriptive analysis system with an analysis method combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. Data analysis using process maps refers to the Data Flow Diagram (DFD) concept to present the design of the supply chain process for pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies). The research results show that there are 4 issues in the supply chain process for pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies), namely (1) stock availability of pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies) in the Health Pharmacy Warehouse (GFK), (2) supply capability of pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies) Health Pharmacy Warehouse, (3) Accuracy of planning for pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies) at the Community Health Center, (4) Deficit of pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies) at the Community Health Center. The supply chain process for pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies) in health services in the city of Surabaya requires improvement and improvement. Integration of data and information between the Surabaya City Health Service Pharmacy Unit, Health Pharmacy Warehouse (GFK), and Community Health Centers is the key to minimizing problematic issues in the supply chain process for pharmaceutical supplies (drugs and health supplies).
