Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) Analyzing the differences in quality perceptions between those using the brand and those not using the brand on Gupalas packaging; 2) Analyzing the differences in quality perceptions in the form of screw packaging and regular Gupalas packaging; 3) Analyze the differences in quality perceptions when using several Gupalas packaging colors and 4) Analyze the differences in quality perceptions when using halal labels on Gupalas packaging versus Gupalas packaging that is not accompanied by a halal label. This type of research is quantitative research. The author used the sampling technique in this research using a nonprobability sampling technique. The samples in this study were chosen by housewives who had not used Gupalas sugar for consumption. The number of samples in this study was 270 respondents. Data analysis in this study used the t test. The research results show 1) There is no significant difference in perceived quality between Gupalas brand sugar and unbranded sugar; 2) There is no significant difference in perceived quality between Gupalas brand sugar packaging with screws and plastic packaging; 3) There is a significant difference in quality perception between several Gupalas packaging colors. The color on the Gupalas sugar packaging that received the highest quality perception assessment based on the research results was red and 4) There was a significant difference in quality perception between labeled and unlabeled Gupalas brand sugar.
