Abstract

Someone who is committed to their career will never give up in facing challenges in their work. Meanwhile, career satisfaction is an important factor of career success which has been conceptualized as a pleasant or positive emotional state resulting from an assessment of one's work experience. In the context of career satisfaction, the analysis shows that career planning has a significant effect on career satisfaction of 0.420 and career development does not mediate the relationship between career planning and career satisfaction. Meanwhile, career management also has a significant effect on career satisfaction of 0.328 and career development does not mediate the relationship between career management and career satisfaction. In the context of career commitment, the results of the analysis show that career planning has a significant effect on career commitment of 0.398 and career development does not mediate the relationship between career planning and career commitment. Meanwhile, it was found that career management had no significant effect on career commitment, but career development mediated the relationship between career management and career commitment significantly by 0.142.
