Abstract

Frequent demonstrations that occur in the Djatiroto Sugar Factory, PTPN XI are one of the company's evaluations to increase employee job satisfaction. Through leadership style, organizational culture and a conducive work climate, it is hoped that employees will be able to work better. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and organizational culture on job satisfaction through work climate as an intervening variable. To test this problem, questionnaires were distributed to 107 permanent employees of the Djatiroto Sugar Factory. The collected data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques. The SEM analysis results obtained have met the model feasibility index criteria. It is shown that leadership style positively and significantly influences job satisfaction. Including organizational culture also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Meanwhile, leadership style positively and significantly influences job satisfaction both directly and indirectly through work climate, and organizational culture positively and significantly influences job satisfaction both directly and indirectly through work climate. On the basis of these results, the managerial implication that can be suggested is that increasing job satisfaction can be achieved by creating and maintaining involvement in organizational culture, implementing a transformational leadership style in line with providing the level of job satisfaction felt by employees.
