Abstract

The Nurul Hayat Foundation is a social foundation whose initial aim was to channel donations from donors to the Dhuafa. However, some of the funds provided by donors are also used for foundation operations and employee salaries. The Nurul Hayat Surabaya Foundation hopes to become an independent foundation, namely being able to pay employees and finance the foundation's operations not with money from donors but from the foundation itself so that all money from donors can be donated to the poor without receiving any deductions. To achieve this goal, the foundation intends to conduct business in order to have income. To carry out 2 functions, namely business and social activities, the foundation has made changes to its vision and mission, strategy and structure to support becoming an independent foundation. However, these changes are not yet complete because the foundation does not have a compensation design that is considered appropriate in supporting employee performance to become an independent foundation. Apart from that, the description and specifications of the positions held by the foundation are also not fully owned by every position in the foundation. This is also an obstacle in preparing employee compensation designs. In this research, employee salary designs will be carried out by conducting job analysis, job evaluation, market compensation survey, and salary structure and grading. In the job evaluation process, the FES method will be used because the compensable factors used in the FES method have the same characteristics as the jobs at the Nurul Hayat Surabaya Foundation.
