Abstract

This research was carried out to analyze and test the influence of agricultural sector output, processing industry, retail trade and restaurants on the number of poor people in East Jalva Province. The quantitative approach in this research uses a pane/pane regression method. The data used are the 8rulo Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on local government prices (AHDK) in 2000 and the number of poor people from 29 districts and 9 districts in East Java Province, from 2005 to 2013. Estimates using the Fixed Effecl Model (FEM) or often called the Leasl Squares Dummy Variable (LSD V) technique. The results of the model show that the population of the agricultural sector, processing industry, hotel and restaurant trade has a negative and significant effect on the number of poor people in East Java Province. The results of the research show an increase in the output of the agricultural sector by Rp. 1 billion will reduce the number of poor people by 355 people, Celirus Paribus. Increase in industrial sector volume of IDR. I billion will reduce the number of poor people by 169 people, celirus paribus. Increase in sales and restaurant trading sector volume of Rp. 1 billion will reduce the number of poor people by 217 people, celirus paribus. The recommended suggestion is that there is a need to revitalize agricultural infrastructure. Industrial growth and must look at the potential of each region. natural resources and geographical location. The need for creative efforts by looking at the potential of the most dominant sub-sectors and the natural potential of each region.
