On 26-29 November 2018 the Brawijaya University Accounting Student Association held the 2018 Brawijaya Accounting Fair. The 2018 Brawijaya Accounting Fair is an accounting Olympiad with four series of events, namely National Seminar, Accounting Competition, Field Trip, and Gala Dinner.
The first day of the National Seminar was held on the theme of cryptocurrency with speakers Muhammad Deivito Dunggio, Indodax lead consultant, Danarto Tri Sasongko, from the Payment System Policy Department of Bank Indonesia, and Ersa Tri Wahyuni, PhD, CA., CPMA., CPSAK., accounting lecturer at Padjajaran University. The competition was held on the second day, and the preliminary round consisted of short-term investment, perpetual and lets get profit sub-rounds, while the semifinal and final rounds were held on the fourth day.
Apart from taking part in the competition, on the second day the participants also took part in a Field Trip at Jatim Park 2. The participants were also required to take part in a photo challenge in the categories of the most compact team, the hottest team and the most impressive team. The competition closed with a Gala Dinner on the evening of the fourth day at the Same Hotel.
Universitas Airlangga delegated two teams consisting of Patrick Aloysius Wijaya (2016 Accounting), Fince Layadi (2016 Accounting), Tanaya Devi Kemala Agni (2016 Accounting), Arjava Samartha (2016 Accounting), Pasha Dewi Rosidi (2016 Accounting), and Melati Kusuma (2016 Accounting). Accounting 2016). The two teams managed to become the 20 best teams to qualify for the main round, beating 35 teams in the online preliminary stage.
