The rapid development of technology currently brings many changes in various aspects, one of which is the accounting profession. Accountants who were previously synonymous with analyzing financial data must now have comprehensive capabilities, not only technical skills but also special competencies such as advisory , managerial and forecasting to face the industrial revolution 4.0. As stated by Ernest&Young (EY) Indonesia Partner, Isnaeni Achdiat, "in the digital era, today's should pay attention to big data , not just financial data but non-financial data, for example data sourced from external sources, including the media social" at the Aspiring Professional Accountants Festival (APAFest) event organized by the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Thursday 19 April 2018.
In response to this, the 2018 Unair National Accounting Competition was presented with the theme " Comprehensive Accounting Skill Toward the 4th Industrial Revolution ". Mastery of governance and risk management helps maintain the innovations created by accountants in accordance with social and moral values in society.
