MACC (MAksi Accounting Competition), which is an accounting competition at undergraduate level
and equivalent throughout Indonesia with the theme Challenge Your Accounting Skill to be Smart Generation
held by HIMMA (Master of Accounting Student Association) FEB UGM in
2018 on a national scale, registration is open on September 1-15 2018. The courses
being contested are: Introductory Accounting 1, Introductory Accounting 2,
Advanced Financial Accounting, Taxation, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting,
Auditing, Public Sector Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems. Our team consists of 3 people
consisting of Rheta Septian, Indri Sesariani, and Febrica Lukita (AKSI 2015).

The competition stage consists of 3 events, namely the preliminary round, the final round and
the grand final round. In the preliminary round, each team that registers will
take part in the preliminary round which requires participants to take an
online preliminary test at a time determined by the committee. And the 10 participants with the best scores will
advance to the next stage, namely the final round.
On September 21, the preliminary test results were announced and our team qualified for
the final round which was held on September 28 2018 at the Master of
Accounting FEB UGM Jalan Sosio Humaniora No. 1, Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta. Before
taking part in the final round, we first took part in a Technical Meeting which
aims to discuss the technicalities of the competition on September 27 2018.
In the final round, each team will go through a series of competitions where
later the scores from each competition will be accumulated to determine 4 teams with scores.

1. Manufacturing Company Accounting Cycle.
Each team is required to prepare a manufacturing company accounting cycle, according
to the questions provided by the committee.
2. True False
Each team must answer a short description question with a true or false answer.
3. Accounting puzzle
Each team must answer a short question, related to terms in accounting
according to the specified course. The questions consist of 30 horizontal and
descending questions. Correct answers will get a score of 5, incorrect answers -2, and no
answers will get a score of 0.
In the grand final round, the 4 selected teams will take part in a debate competition consisting of
semi-final and final rounds, and later the winner will be determined by a panel of judges. In this round,
each team will draw lots to determine their opponents. And the 3 teams that
get the highest scores obtained from the accumulated results of the jury will be selected.
