II. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
2.1. Knowledge
A.1 Mastering philosophical foundations and the latest theoretical developments of business and management sciences.
A.2 Mastering the concept of various research methodologies in business and management and being able to evaluate and select appropriate approaches to address research problems.
A.3 Mastering analytical tools to conduct research in the fields of business and management.
Teaching and Learning Methods
MSM uses teaching and learning methods to achieve excellent knowledge quality including: lectures, class discussions, seminars, and tutorials.
- Lectures
In this format, the lecturer is responsible for disseminating the contents of the subject matter, with the interaction of students who come mostly in the form of questions or comments about what has been presented. This method teaches a body of knowledge to students and allows them to assess or criticize teaching material.
- Class discussion
The implementation of learning using this method can be: (i) the lecturer gives several questions, problems, or cases related to the learning material for discussion by students; and (ii) each student or small group of students presents the results of learning in front of the class.
- Seminar
This method requires each student or small group of students to present a research plan, the results of the study before a peer group and lecturers. Next, the lecturer gave input on the plan and results of the students' research.
- Tutorials
This method helps students to (i) get a deep understanding of certain subject matter; (ii) developing the ability of students to identify and evaluate relevant sources; (iii) developing research designs; (iv) correctly understand the techniques of collecting and processing data and information; (v) develop the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, effective time management, critical self-assessment; (vi) developing the ability to think and act like a professional in management disciplines.
Assessment Method
The assessment method on the knowledge criteria is carried out by MSM through:
- Evaluation of the first 2 semesters including Mid-term Exam and Final Exam
- Supporting assessments include: assignments, class participation, quizzes, assessment of timeliness in collecting assignments, checking for plagiarism on assignments and scientific papers compiled by students, and peer evaluation on assignments completed in group format.

Assessment Method
The assessment method on the general skills criteria is carried out by MSM through:
- Evaluation of the first 2 semesters including Mid-term Exam and Final Exam.
- Supporting assessment includes: assessment of assignments consisting of presentations and case analysis, assessment of individual participation.
2.3. Specific Skills
C.1 Be able to manage and develop scientific research in business and management fields
C.2 Be able to work responsibly under ethical values to undertake research activities, starting from identifying a research problem, formulating a hypothesis, collecting relevant references, designing a research method, regularly conducting data analysis, and summarizing findings.
C.3 Be able to identify research implications and develop recommendations and suggestions for business practice as well as future research directions.
C.3 Be able to write and publish scientific papers in reputable journals.

- Seminar
MSM provides seminars in order to support the students to gain high quality specific skills. This method requires each student or small group of students to present a research plan, the results of the study before a peer group and lecturers. Next, the lecturer gave input on the plan and results of the students' research. Seminars held are expected to be able to attain the specific skills criteria including: D.1 (Having expertise in analyzing managerial problems using research methodology), and D.2 (Having expertise in developing arguments and explaining various related ideas).
- Tutorials
This method helps students to (i) get a deep understanding of certain subject matter; (ii) developing the ability of students to identify and evaluate relevant sources; (iii) developing research designs; (iv) correctly understand the techniques of collecting and processing data and information; (v) develop the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, effective time management, critical self-assessment; (vi) developing the ability to think and act like a professional in management disciplines.

- Lectures
In this format, the lecturer is responsible for disseminating the contents of the subject matter, with the interaction of students who come mostly in the form of questions or comments about what has been presented. Through this method, lecturers can insert moral and ethical values in addition to conveying the content of the main material on the topic of lectures.
- Class discussion
The implementation of learning using this method can be: (i) the lecturer gives several questions, problems, or cases related to the learning material for discussion by students; and (ii) each student or small group of students presents the results of learning in front of the class.
- Seminar
This method requires each student or small group of students to present a research plan, the results of the study before a peer group and lecturers. Next, the lecturer gave input on the plan and results of the students' research.
Assessment Method
The assessment method on the attitude criteria is carried out by MSM through:
- Evaluation of the first 2 semesters including Mid-term Exam and Final Exam
Supporting assessments include: assessments related to self-confidence, discipline, moral awareness, and involvement through observations during presentations, class discussions, punctuality in completing assignments, plagiarism check, involvement in group assignments and peer evaluation.
