The Center of Indonesian Socioeconomic Studies (CISS) is a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to addressing Indonesia's strategic development challenges through economic, social, institutional, and policy analysis. Its research spans trade and investment, industrial competitiveness and MSMEs, food security, agriculture and fisheries, poverty and employment, regional development, the digital economy, the halal industry, energy transition, climate change, and environmental sustainability. Since 2020, CISS has undertaken more than 60 flagship competitive research projects, supported by national and international funding and strategic partnerships, securing over IDR 26 billion in research funding. Its research provides evidence-based policy recommendations that contribute to Indonesia's inclusive, competitive, and sustainable development.
