In this rapidly evolving digital era, innovation and collaboration play a crucial role in addressing the numerous economic challenges facing the younger generation. As the driving force behind the rapidly expanding and expanding digital transformation, young people have the potential to create significant economic change. Therefore, Universitas Airlangga Undergraduate Management Student Association (S1) for the 2023/2024 academic year has taken the initiative to organize an event called the Management Startup Challenge 2023 with the theme "Collaborating to Create Innovations for the Youth Towards Economic Development in the Digital Era.".
This year, the Management Startup Challenge 2023 (MSC) is aligned with SDGs 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and 17, Partnerships for the Goals. By integrating SDG principles into business plans, young people can contribute to global sustainable development while ensuring the long-term growth and sustainability of their businesses.
The 2023 MSC is a national-level competition and mentoring program for high school and vocational high school students and university students across Indonesia. The goal is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit, hone their soft skills, and help create a positive startup ecosystem. In this competition, participants are asked to develop a comprehensive and innovative business plan for a digital startup. Participants are expected to outline the vision, mission, marketing strategy, market analysis, financials, and business model of their proposed digital startup. They must also demonstrate that their idea can provide added value and address real-world problems in society or a specific industry.
In addition to prizes and recognition for the winners, the business plan and digital startup competitions also provide valuable opportunities for participants to expand their networks and gain valuable feedback from industry professionals and experts involved. Furthermore, events like these can serve as a platform to foster creativity and innovation in the business world, as well as motivate aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into successful businesses in the rapidly evolving digital era.
