ORGANIZATION TRAINING DEVELOPMENT

Stepping Together to Grow Initiatives in the “When Roles are Clear, but Action Remains Deferred” Organizational Development Workshop by HIMA S1 Management Universitas Airlangga

In organizational dynamics that demand speed, the ability to act independently and proactively is a key quality needed by every individual. Recognizing this importance, HIMA SI Manajemen Universitas Airlangga presents Organizational Training Development entitled "When Roles are Clear, but Action Remains Deferred". This workshop is specifically designed using Performance Appraisal as the main benchmark to address the real needs of members in improving the initiative aspect. Through a comprehensive approach, this program aims to break the pattern of inertia and the phenomenon of waiting for certainty that often creates a gap between understanding tasks and the realization of concrete actions in the field.

This series of activities does not only stop at the presentation of materials and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with experts, but will be closed with the excitement of Hima Day Vol 1. As an integration agenda, Hima Day is present to strengthen solidarity and familiarity among all members of HIMA SI Management after the capacity building session is completed. With the spirit of collaboration, it is hoped that each member will be able to foster a strong sense of ownership and the courage to take responsibility independently for the success of the joint work program.

Some of the main values that will be raised in this workshop include:

  • Proactive Awareness Enhancement: Changing the mindset of members from simply waiting for instructions to daring to take the first step in every situation.
  • Cultivating a Sense of Ownership: Building independent responsibility for the success of work programs without having to rely on explicit encouragement from leaders.
  • Reducing Deferred Action: Overcoming psychological barriers and fear of being wrong that often lead to delayed action even when task roles are clear.
  • Agile Communication and Adaptation: Encourage members to be more courageous in communicating and filling contribution gaps to achieve common goals effectively.

"Because true initiative is not just about playing a role, but rather the courage to fill the space to contribute to a common goal." HIMA S1 Management Universitas Airlangga 2026
