Digital transformation is driving companies to continuously adapt through technological innovation, developing more flexible business strategies, and improving operational efficiency to remain competitive amidst increasingly rapid market dynamics. In facing these changes, human resources with adaptive and innovative capabilities and a strong understanding of technology are crucial factors in supporting company success in the modern industrial era. Therefore, the younger generation, especially students, plays a crucial role in preparing themselves to face these challenges by developing knowledge, skills, and understanding the increasingly digitalized industry.
In an effort to broaden students' insights into the industrial world, Universitas Airlangga Undergraduate Management Student Association held the Management Visit 2026 activity as part of the learning program and student skills development. With the theme "Innovate to Elevate: Navigating Digital Transformation in Modern Industry", this company visit activity aims to provide a deeper understanding of how companies utilize innovation and digital technology in carrying out their business activities. In addition, this activity is also expected to provide first-hand experience for Universitas Airlangga Undergraduate Management students to understand how companies operate, the professional work environment, the challenges faced by the industry, and the skills needed to be able to adapt and thrive in the ever-changing world of work.
Management Visit 2026 is held as a form of support for the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. In point 4, this activity aims to expand student access to direct, experiential learning from the industrial world so as to improve the quality of education that is more relevant to future needs. Furthermore, through point 8, Management Visit 2026 encourages strengthening student competencies in understanding the dynamics of the world of work, industrial developments, and the importance of skills needed to support sustainable economic growth. As for point 9, this activity emphasizes the importance of innovation and the use of digital technology in supporting the development of modern industry, so that students can understand how companies develop innovation and utilize technology to increase efficiency and competitiveness in the era of digital transformation.
