MAGICS 2.0
MAGICS is an acronym for Internship with AcSES. MAGICS itself is one of the HRD Division's work programs that has only been run twice. MAGICS itself is a new work program as a replacement for Sharia Motivation and Achievement Training I (SMART I) which was initially held in the odd semester and has now been changed to the even semester. MAGICS itself consists of several series of activities starting from the Ormawa Expo, Open Recruitment, Taaruf Day, weekly Internship Agenda, and Upgrading at Taman Flora.
The Ormawa expo was held during PIKMEN, several AcSES representatives made presentations in the Fadjar Hall and Soepoyo Hall and opened a stand in classroom 318. This was done to introduce AcSES and attract new students to join the organization.
Open recruitment itself is an activity to screen new students interested in joining MAGICS. After the screening and announcement of acceptance, the next step is follow-up and further introduction activities to reach out personally through the Taaruf Day event. Taaruf Day itself was held at the Akhwat Hall, Nuruzzaman Mosque, Campus B UNAIR.
The next activity, an upgrading session, took place at the Flora Park. This aimed to strengthen the relationship between interns and AcSES administrators. The activity involved providing material packaged as group games.
The final activity is the weekly internship agenda. The core of this activity is to actively engage interns in the AcSES work program. The goal is to introduce the AcSES work program to new students.
MAGICS 2.0 concluded on November 8th. It is hoped that the MAGICS work program will allow new students to experience firsthand the excitement of joining AcSES and provide them with the opportunity to choose whether to resign or continue as staff members in the next management period. This is expected to help AcSES recruit highly qualified and loyal staff.
