(KOPSI NEWS) The increasingly dynamic development of the business world requires students to not only understand theory, but also be able to think critically and apply it in solving various business problems. This enthusiasm was realized through the activities of Workshop I on "Case Analysis, Build Solutions: Strategies for Compiling Competitive Business Cases" organized by the Student Cooperative Study Group (KOPSI) FEB Universitas Airlangga Education and Training (EnT) division with speaker Reza Nafi Rizqi Musyaffa, Outstanding Student of FEB UNAIR on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Cendrawasih Hall, 3rd Floor of Medang Building UNAIR B.
This activity aims to improve students' analytical skills in completing business case studies and introduce them to a systematic problem-solving approach in the world of organizations and cooperatives. With a relaxed yet educational atmosphere, this workshop is expected to provide a platform for developing insights, discussions, and relationships among participants.
The series of activities in Workshop I includes a presentation of material on the basics of business case analysis, an introduction to problem-solving frameworks, and decision-making techniques in the context of business and organizations.
This activity presents experienced speakers in the fields of business analysis and organizational management, who provide practical understanding on how to identify problems, analyze data, and formulate appropriate and effective solutions.
Participants not only received theoretical material but also participated directly in interactive case study sessions. In these sessions, participants were divided into groups to analyze simple to complex business problems and then present the results of their discussions. The entire series of activities was designed to enhance participants' critical thinking, team collaboration, and communication skills in systematically conveying ideas and solutions.
The implementation of Workshop I was open to the public, not only internal parties of KOPSI FEB UNAIR. For the KOPSI management itself, there were 32 administrators present from 7 divisions, starting from Secretary, Treasurer, Research and Development (RnD), Public Relations, Education and Training (EnT), Human Resource Development (PSDM), and Communication and Information (Kominfo). In addition, there were also external parties attended by 19 people from various faculties and actively participated in the entire series of activities.
"Through this Workshop I, we hope that participants can understand how to think analytically in solving business cases and be able to apply it in organizations and daily life," said Saffana Annisa Pahlevi, PIC Workshop I.
He added that this activity not only focuses on strengthening technical skills, but also encourages collaboration, communication, and confidence in conveying ideas.
More than just a training activity, Workshop I also contributed to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for Achieving the Goals.
Through interactive, case study-based learning, participants not only gain knowledge about business analysis, but also improve their problem-solving, teamwork, and networking skills.
This activity is expected to be able to create a collaborative, inclusive, and applicable learning environment in facing the challenges of the organizational and business world.
Workshop I is expected to be the first step in developing students who are critical, analytical, and adaptive in facing various business challenges. Equipped with business case analysis skills and a spirit of collaboration, participants are expected to be able to implement this knowledge effectively in their organizations and future professional lives.
