SOCIAL ACTION 2018

SOCIAL ACTION (AKSOS) is a social agenda organized by the Accounting Student Association Universitas Airlangga. During the 2018 period, AKSOS was held six times with targets ranging from children in orphanages to grandmothers in nursing homes.

March AKSOS was held on March 16, 2018 at SDLB AKW Kumara II. The event started at 08.30 which began with chicken dance gymnastics. Almost all students of SDLB AKW Kumara II showed their enthusiasm and spirit by coming forward to imitate the chicken dance. Next, the event continued with watching the film 'Magic Pan' which ended with a quiz with prizes. No less exciting than the chicken dance game, the students also competed to come forward to answer questions. The event closed with a song connecting game which was also no less enthusiastic. The entire event ran smoothly, the students from SDLB AKW Kumara II were also very active and happy.

April AKSOS was held on April 28th in the area around Ambengan. This AKSOS activity was teaching. Initially, the Ambengan children were divided into two groups, namely the elementary school group who made crafts from used bottles and the kindergarten group who learned to count with volunteers. Of the approximately 70 Ambengan children who attended, both the elementary school children who made crafts with various creations and the kindergarten children who answered questions from the volunteers to win candy prizes showed great enthusiasm. Likewise, the volunteers who were no less enthusiastic in AKSOS 2.0 who had patiently taught the Ambengan children to make crafts and learn to count.

The May Social Activity was held on May 18, 2018, at Panti Yatim Indonesia. The event began at 4:30 PM with the creation of Eid greeting cards. The enthusiasm of the children at Panti Yatim Indonesia was evident in the creation of the greeting cards. Some were decorated with ketupat, mosques, and even large trucks, assisted by volunteers. While waiting for the Maghrib call to prayer, there were quizzes about Islam that were no less exciting than making the greeting cards. The children from the Orphanage Foundation immediately competed to answer questions from the MC when the questions were read. This social activity ended with breaking the fast together and closed with a prayer led directly by the management of Panti Yatim Indonesia

The September AKSOS was held on September 7, 2018, in the Gemblongan area. The event began at 7:00 PM with a guessing game. The volunteers enthusiastically demonstrated the styles, and the Gemblongan children competed with each other to answer the questions. After the games, the event continued with a story reading to commemorate Literacy Day, about taking turns being grateful.

The October AKSOS was held on October 13, 2018, at the Hargo Dedali Foundation. The event began at 9:00 a.m. with karaoke songs ranging from national songs to old songs. After that, the event continued with making bracelets. Even though they are elderly, the grandmothers there are still enthusiastic and diligent in threading beads one by one onto the string. The event ended with volunteers and grandmothers sitting together and playing games such as spinning objects accompanied by songs and when the song stops, the one who gets to tell a story, sing, or so on.

And the last AKSOS in this period was held on November 23, 2018 in the Pondok Sosial Keputih Environment. The event began with a circular introduction of the beggars who were present and continued with karaoke which was greeted with enthusiasm by the social welfare residents. After the enthusiasm of the social welfare residents and volunteers was ignited, the event continued with playing games that were no less exciting, namely circle games - fountain statues - riding motorcycle taxis - flower buds - rowing which trained the focus and speed of movement of the volunteers and social welfare residents. Smiles and laughter from the social welfare residents broke out in this game. After being tired of moving following the MC's instructions, the event continued with making a collage that formed the letters AKS1 from soybeans, using chopsticks to make it more challenging, between volunteers and social welfare residents, as a form that we are one, must care for and help each other.
