To address the challenges of today's modernization, the role of students in generating ideas for development is crucial. As agents of change, students must impact the wider community through the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: Education, Research, and Community Service. The goal is to create a balance between knowledge transfer, research development, and the practical application of knowledge for societal advancement. Through a program accessible and accessible to all levels of students, this can be achieved through real-world impact.
Student Executive Board (BEM FEB) Universitas Airlangga through the Department of Science, is hosting a program that is expected to realize concrete steps by holding the Student Creativity Program (PKM). This program is expected to play a significant role in contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs). Through this program, all levels involved can experience a tangible impact on living a dynamic life.
PKM (Student Creativity Program) 2026 is a program organized by BEM FEB Universitas Airlangga which aims to increase students' interest and potential in the fields of reasoning and writing. This program presents a series of activities in the form of socialization and workshops that are expected to make FEB Universitas Airlangga have a level of participation in this program. In this series of activities, it begins with socialization and coaching by experienced speakers such as lecturers, PKM winners, and FEB Universitas Airlangga who have experience in this field. Through this activity, the PKM program is expected to become a program that strengthens the role of students in creating ideas, producing a work, and producing a broad positive impact on Indonesian society.
PKM facilitates students to realize creative ideas into real work, entrepreneurship, or community service, which are funded by the state and competed at the national level in PIMNAS. Therefore, in making a contribution to this, FEB Universitas Airlangga students are expected to be motivated and sensitive to their surroundings. This can be realized by creating innovative and creative ideas in accordance with the problems around us. This program is not only limited to developing the role of students, but also contributes to the development and improvement of sustainable human resources.
PKM supports the achievement of SDG 4, which concerns education. Education reflects the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and serves as the foundation or initial basis for human resource development. When education is implemented correctly in accordance with existing principles, the results of such educational development are considered capable of producing competent human resources. In SDG 4, education is the primary driver of sustainable development, enabling it to compete and adapt to the dynamics of globalization.
SDG 8 concerns the development of MSMEs or the middle-income economy, which is a crucial foundation for a country's economy. In this SDG, a country's economy is assessed by the ability of small and medium enterprises to establish and grow. They are also able to meet community needs and have a broad impact on society, such as sustainable employment. Then, SDGs 13 and 14 cover environmental problem solving. The resulting innovations are expected to address climate and environmental issues that threaten the future. By implementing the sustainability values mentioned above, this program is expected to be able to solve all problems and address all challenges posed by the SDGs.
Thus, the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) is expected to be a forum for FEB Universitas Airlangga students to contribute to contributing and answering problems around them through the discovery and development of creative and innovative ideas.
