DESCRIPTION OF “PADJADJARAN ACCOUNTING WEEK (PAW) 2021”
Padjajaran Accounting Week (PAW) was established as a forum for communication and sharing opinions, innovations, and solutions to global problems, particularly in the economic field. PAW aims to highlight current economic topics worthy of further recognition, analysis, and understanding to provide deeper insights to the public. The goal is to facilitate questions, opinions, and aspirations from the public to elicit further responses from key actors on specific issues. The theme of the 16th PAW in 2021 is "The Rise of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in Advancing Business Longevity." There are three sub-series of PAW activities: the International Seminar, the Paper Competition, and the National Competition. The National Competition is a series of national-standard competitions to test accounting competency and knowledge and its implementation. There are four rounds in this competition: preliminary round, elimination round, semifinal round, and final round. The National Competition itself began with a preliminary test on October 4, 2021. After that, the 25 teams with the highest scores proceeded to the elimination round on November 2, 2021. The 12 teams with the highest scores proceeded to the semifinal round on November 3, 2021, and the 5 teams with the highest scores proceeded to the final round on November 4, 2021. The best team from Universitas Airlangga made it to the final round as a finalist, and the best team also received the title of The Best Team Winner.
