SHARING THE HAPPINESS OF RAMADHAN THROUGH ACCESS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 2026

(ACSES NEWS) Social care is not just talk, but real action that can bring happiness to others. This spirit is carried by the UKMF Penalaran AcSES Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga through the AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) 2026 activity, which was held on (03/06/2026) at the Istiqomah LAZ DAU Orphanage in Sidoarjo and the Roudhotul Jannah Mulyorejo Social Foundation in Surabaya.

Embracing the value of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan, this activity, initiated by the Public Relations and Communication Division, provides a platform for students to express their concerns through fundraising and distribution, as well as a series of interactive activities with the children at the orphanage. ASR 2026 focuses not only on material assistance but also on creating warm, meaningful moments of togetherness, imbued with empathy and social solidarity.

The AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) 2026 initiative stems from the reality that many orphanages still face limitations in meeting their daily needs. This situation relates not only to material needs such as food and supplies, but also to the need for attention, togetherness, and moral support for the children. Based on this concern, ASR 2026 is presented not simply as a sharing activity, but also as an effort to build empathy and strengthen humanitarian values among students.

The series of activities focused not only on distributing donations but also on warm and enjoyable interactions with the children at the orphanage. Various activities, such as watching movies together, interactive games, and socializing, created a joyful atmosphere. Through these activities, the children were given a space to experience joy, while the students learned firsthand about the meaning of sharing, caring, and gratitude in community life.

The 2026 AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) program involved 20 committee members who worked together in a structured manner to ensure the smooth running of the entire event. The presence of 180 participants from orphanages was clear evidence that this program was able to reach a wide audience and provide direct benefits to those in need.

The event proceeded in an orderly, warm manner, and had a positive impact on both the children at the orphanage and the students involved. The synergy between the committee, participants, and the orphanage administration made this event more than just a ceremonial activity, but a truly meaningful act of social responsibility that left a lasting impression on all attendees.

The implementation of AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) 2026 significantly contributed to the achievement of SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (No Hunger) through the distribution of donations and the provision of food that helped meet the basic needs of children in orphanages. Furthermore, interactive activities and Islamic studies supported SDG 3 (Healthy and Prosperous Life) by creating a space for happiness, strengthening emotional health, and fostering positive enthusiasm among participants.

Reflections from this activity demonstrate that social awareness is not just talk, but concrete action that can shape a generation of young people who are empathetic, adaptive, and competitive. AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) 2026 affirms AcSES' commitment to supporting the holistic development of students, not only academically but also socially and humanitarianly.

The success of AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) 2026 was demonstrated by the achievement of the donation target, which was fully channeled to the needs of the children at the orphanage, and the creation of a warm, collaborative atmosphere. Publicizing activities through AcSES' official social media channels provided transparency and inspired other students to contribute to social action.

Moving forward, AcSES is expected to continue delivering inclusive, relevant, and sustainable social programs, aligned with community needs and the challenges of the professional world. This activity demonstrates the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in community service, and strengthens the values of solidarity and humanity among the younger generation on campus.
