On February 4-5, 2023, WEBS Unair held a Youth Entrepreneur Camp (YEC) as part of a series of events welcoming new members. This event provided entrepreneurship training with seniors through sharing sessions and practical activities, namely building a small business in groups. Through this activity, WEBS administrators introduced the activities that would be carried out within WEBS itself, instilled an entrepreneurial spirit in new members, fostered a sense of solidarity and cooperation among members, and strengthened the network and bonds of brotherhood between members and alumni. After this activity, we hope that WEBS can establish supportive cooperation and kinship to achieve WEBS's shared vision of growing together to become independent young entrepreneurs.
Through the YEC activities that we organize by providing material supplies in the form of entrepreneurship, we hope to support SDGs number 4, namely by providing relevant, quality, and practical education to new members that can help them in developing skills and knowledge related to the world of entrepreneurship. We hope, this activity can contribute to improving the quality of education and learning that can prepare WEBS Unair members for the future. In addition, YEC activities also help create opportunities to provide decent work by providing entrepreneurship training to new WEBS members. This encourages economic growth by stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit through collaboration in building small businesses in groups so that their potential to become independent entrepreneurs and contribute to local and national economic growth emerges. Thus, this activity supports SDGs number 8 by prioritizing decent work, economic growth, and entrepreneurial independence. Through this activity, we also support SDGs number 17 by creating strong partnerships between seniors, new members, and alumni. Thus, YEC promotes partnerships that support mutual growth and success, which are important aspects of achieving sustainable development goals, including the shared vision of WEBS to become "independent young entrepreneurs."
