The Alumni Sharing Session is a program organized by the Universitas Airlangga Economics Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Ekonomi Universitas Airlangga) as a forum to strengthen relationships between current students and alumni Universitas AirlanggaEconomics program. This activity aims to provide insight into the world of college, self-development, and career preparation through real-life experiences shared directly by alumni. Through this activity, students are expected to gain inspiration, motivation, and an overview of various career opportunities according to their interests and potential.
In an increasingly dynamic and competitive workplace, students are required to possess not only academic abilities but also adaptive skills, communication skills, and readiness to face various professional challenges. Therefore, students need access to practical experience and insights from alumni who have entered the workforce or continued their studies in various fields. The presence of alumni as resource persons is expected to provide relevant perspectives on the career development process, challenges faced, and strategies for preparing themselves during college.
As a commitment to supporting student development, the Universitas Airlangga Economics Student Association held a 2026 Alumni Room Sharing Session with the theme "Turning Potential into Professional Readiness." This theme was chosen to encourage students to recognize their potential, develop their competencies, and develop strategic steps to prepare for their future careers. Through material presentations, interactive discussions, and Q&A sessions with alumni, participants are expected to gain practical insights and motivation to continue developing themselves in the ever-evolving professional world.
The 2026 Alumni Room Sharing Session activity also supports the achievement of several points in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely:
- SDG 4 – Quality Education
This activity provides students with the opportunity to gain learning outside the classroom through real-life experiences of alumni, thereby increasing their knowledge, insight, and readiness to face the world of work. - SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
