(AcSES NEWS) In order to improve student competency in compiling scientific papers, the AcSES Reasoning UKMF, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga held the 2026 Scientific Writing Study Group (KBKTI) which was implemented in two series of activities, namely External KBKTI and Internal KBKTI.
The KBKTI activities began with a series of External KBKTI sessions held online via Zoom Meeting. These sessions aimed to provide an understanding of the stages of scientific paper development, from developing a research idea, developing a background, formulating the problem, and developing a systematic writing flow in accordance with academic principles. The series of events included presentations by resource persons and interactive discussion sessions, which were enthusiastically attended by all participants.
Following the external series, KBKTI continues with the Internal KBKTI, which is held offline and is intended for AcSES members (AcSESOR). At this stage, participants receive intensive mentoring in developing ideas, compiling writing frameworks, and implementing the material obtained in the previous session into drafts of scientific papers.
During the implementation, participants participate in discussion sessions, assistance, and review of scientific papers directly with mentors. Each participant receives input regarding the preparation of the introduction, literature review, discussion, and preparation of conclusions so that the resulting work is more systematic, logical, and in accordance with academic standards.
Through the 2026 KBKTI series, participants not only gain theoretical understanding of scientific writing but also practical experience in producing quality papers through ongoing mentoring and evaluation. This program demonstrates AcSES' commitment to supporting the development of a research culture and improving student academic quality.
The success of this activity is expected to encourage the birth of quality, innovative, and competitive scientific papers, while also forming students who have critical and analytical thinking skills, and are ready to contribute to various competitions and scientific publications.
